Everybody knows, that Christmas is the most valuable and important holiday in the world. The story began in Bethlehem many years ago.Mary miraculously became pregnant through the Holy Spirit.
And one night exciting thing happened. Mary had baby , but it wasn't just any baby, it was Baby Jesus, the creater of the whole world, the King of the Kings, the one, who would save the world." A Child is born to the world, a Child, who brings light, solace and peace into the farthest corners of the Earth"
" Christ is born glorify Him!
Christ comes from heaven go to meet Him!
Christ on the Earth be excited! " - exclaimed happy people.
Since then the whole world world celebrates the Birth of the Christ on December, 25.
Christmas celebrates by different ways. It is one day official holiday, but it is preceded and followed by festive parties and marked by special church services, gift-giving and feasting. If you want to catch a train on the 24th December you may have difficulty in finding a seat. This is the day, when people are travelling home to be with their families on Christmas Day, 25th December. For most American families, this is the most important festival of the year. It combines the Christmas celebration of the birth of Christ with the traditional festivities of winter.
American people have special customs, traditions and different legends, that are actually from many diverse cultures. Before Christmas many churches hold a carol singers can be heard on the streets as they collect money for charity. Most families decorate their houses with brightly coloured paper or holly and they usually have Christmas tree in the corner of the front room, glittering with coloured lights and decorations.
The most important tradition is the giving of presents. Family members wrap up their gifts and leave at the bottom of Christmas tree to be found on Christmas morning. Children leave a long sock at the end of their bed on Christmas Eve, 24th December, hoping that
Santa Claus will come down the chimney during the night and bring them a small presents, fruit and toys.
They are usually not disappointed! At sometime on
Christmas Day the family wil sit down to big turkey dinner followed by Christmas pudding. They will probably pull a cracker with another member of the family. It will make a loud crack.
So we have to enjoy the holiday in national American style.

Prayer
Loving father,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus
That we may share in the song of the Angels
The gladness of the shepherds,
And worship of the wise men
Close the door of hate
And open the door of love all over the world
Let kindness come with every gift
And good desires with every greetting
Deliver us from evil by the blessing,
Which Christ brings,
And teach us to be merry with clear heart
May the Christmas morning
Make us happy to be thy children
And Christmas evening brings us to our beds,
With grateful thoughts,
Forgiving and forgiven
For Jesus sake.
